It’s no secret that the internet, especially the algorithms, can be mysterious. Being able to stand out online 20 years ago was like solving a Rubix cube. What KPI’s Do You Use to Track Results?

For almost all of our clients, we make sure to establish Key Performance Indicators during the first meeting (which we call an onboarding meeting). In this meeting, goals and timelines will be established. For most businesses, increasing online lead submissions and/or sales is the most important KPI.

What Tools Do You Use?

For SEO specifically, we use a set of tools, and then to get a wider view of each client’s site, we use some other analytical programs that complement the SEO tools. To start, we use Ahrefs as our main SEO tool. Mainly, we use it to do Keyword Research and analysis as well as Domain and Page authority checks. In the past, we have used MOZ and SEMRush (these do basically the same thing) but we have found Ahrefs is the best of the three and provides us with more power and capabilities. Of course, the full list is much longer.

What else do you do aside from SEO?

As we mentioned earlier, we are a full-suite digital marketing agency. We believe in an Inbound (as opposed to outbound) marketing methodology, and Search Engine Optimization is just one part of that. All of the services that we have to offer are aligned with the greater purpose of increasing traffic–good traffic–to your site. For instance, we create content (blogs, photos, videos, websites), and then we go about optimizing that content for specific short and long-tail keywords. We have social media managers who organize, plan, and produce individualized campaigns, and we make sure that your social media channels are building your overall domain authority. How Does Your Pricing Model Work?

For each client, the price is slightly different, but the model is the same. We work with you to build out a plan based on a mutually determined number of hours per month. At the beginning of our client onboarding process, we determine your goals, set KPI’s, and then come up with a plan on how to get there.

What is Your Process?

From the very first call we have with you, we want to make sure we are on the same page. We research your website, check out where you stand in terms of rankings and traffic, and try to find areas of opportunity. From there, we will put together a presentation for you based on our findings. We will recommend the best starting points, and how we would proceed. After that conversation, if we choose to work together, then we would set up another full call with one of our talented account managers. From there, our account manager will work with you each month to make sure you are up-to-speed in our progress and activities, and how we improved from the previous month.

Do You Do All SEO Work In-house or Do You Outsource?

We do all of our SEO work in-house. We have an SEO Manager, a Content Analyst, and an Account Manager all working specifically on your SEO.

How Do You Suggest Target Keywords?

We love Ahrefs. This is our main tool to analyze the keywords that are most relevant to your site content. For each of our clients, we create what we call “Topic Clusters”. Topic Clusters involve choosing one of your product or service pages and then building out supporting content around that product or service with the goal of boosting traffic to that page.
